Carolyn Barnes, M.S., CCC-SLP, PhD Candidate

 

Carolyn Barnes M.S., CCC-SLP is a Ph.D. candidate at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist has been working with children with feeding and swallowing difficulties in inpatient and outpatient children’s hospital settings. She has also served as an adjunct instructor for MUSC’s Master of Speech-Language Pathology program, where she created and taught a course on pediatric feeding and swallowing. Carolyn’s research interests involve pediatric feeding and swallowing, particularly respiratory-swallow coordination in infants and the impact of noninvasive ventilation on the infant swallow.
