Sarah Brunson has dedicated the last 26 years advocating for promoting human milk feeding and enabling parents to meet their goals through lactation practice, community service, and academic study. She is a Registered Nurse and Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant at the Medical University of South Carolina. In addition, she is currently a PhD candidate at the USC College of Nursing where she is studying how human lactation is impacted by hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Her community leadership roles including being a former La Leche League Leader and currently serving as the CoChair of the South Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition. When not researching and facilitating lactation, Sarah enjoys time with her family and friends sailing, camping, kayaking, hiking, and enjoying music.
